Most human hair Extensions come from India and China.
In China, hair extensions are mostly manufactured . Human hair extensions mostly come from India.
A great example is hair from the Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala, India, where women shave their heads in a ritual to sacrifice their beautiful long hair, in exchange for a blessing.
These women know their hair is being sold by the Temple.
This hair is known in the beauty industry as "Remy Hair". The money then collected by the Temple and used to support the local community.
